This is the second of two photoshoots I had booked this past weekend. I usually wait for my clients to post before I post the photos, which is why I'm posting about the second one first. This was a casual, fashion shoot and they wanted to showcase the shirts from their friend's brand Sage Creations. I called it a family shoot because they recently got a puppy and he joined in on the fun.
These two are basically family to me, and I'm glad to have been given the opportunity. She was actually one of my first bookings ever! Regardless of our relation, I'm still trying to be more comfortable with directing a shoot. Although, my favorite photos are candids:
I was able to direct their poses enough to get them how I wanted, but I know I need to be more confident with it. Despite that thought, I really like how these turned out. It wasn't golden hour, and the sun was beaming. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to edit properly due to washed out whites, but I was able get the lighting right. Getting the right exposure is the most important things with being able to work with images in post. Here are a few of my favorites from the set. Should be posting the other shoot within the next couple of days.
If you're reading this and keeping up with my blogs, I appreciate you.
Bonus one of just their puppy, Melo:
