This is a part of a series titled Self-Acceptance where I explain the process of self-portraits I have taken which started during lockdown. It explores themes of self-confidence, working with what you have, and accepting myself (duh).

The further into quarantine I got, the more I realized that I would need to build out my office for the better in the long run. I was able to set up things like a desk, side table, day bed/futon, and pictures on the wall. I made it my own space, and it inspired me to have a shoot for the occasion.

I really wanted a cool picture of me in my room for aesthetic purposes. This was the first shoot where I started to venture my environment more and not just some white wall. I wanted to evoke some type of magazine spread. I ended up posting these, and really loved how they turned out. It looks like a natural picture caught from everyday life.

In sense of self, I was exploring different hairstyles for each shot. It's been awhile since I've had my hair this long. Being able to change it up daily the longer it gets is fun. Up until now, I have yet to cut the top.
